The Bemis C2L (Charger to Load) adapter plugs into a socketed AC charging station and turns it into a standard socket. Since it takes power from the station, not the car, it's independent of the car brand and doesn't need V2L.
It lets you use the charging station's circuit without installing a separate socket – for a vacuum cleaner or pressure washer in the car park, power tools in the garden, maintenance work in a residential car park, or temporary power at events.
The adapter identifies itself to the station as a car; when the station starts charging (after RFID authorisation if required), the socket is powered. Current is limited to 16 A. It can't be used with tethered stations that have no socket.

Frequently asked questions
C2L (Charger to Load) takes power from a socketed AC charging station rather than the car's battery: the adapter plugs into the station's Type 2 socket and turns it into a standard socket. V2L takes power from the car's battery and only works on V2L-capable cars. C2L has nothing to do with the car; you don't need to choose a car brand.
Socketed (Type 2 socket) AC chargers. The station detects the adapter as a car and powers the socket once charging starts (e.g. after RFID authorisation). It can't be used with tethered stations that have no socket.
The adapter supplies up to 16 A (about 3.7 kW). If the station's set current is lower, that value applies.
