Earthing is the basis of the house's electrical safety and is done before the foundation concrete is poured. We lay the earthing strip connected to the foundation reinforcement, leave outlets for the board and later connections, and measure the earth resistance when the work is done. Because it is difficult and costly to add later, it is best to talk to us before the foundations are laid.

During the shell phase, conduit for power, lighting, data and satellite is laid in the walls, floors and ceilings. At this stage conduit is left for everything that may be needed later: cove lighting and spotlight points, garden circuits, a charging line to the parking space, smart home panel and door panel points. Breaking walls later is the most expensive item of an installation.

Cables of the cross-section given in the design are pulled and circuits are separated by room and use. In the board each circuit is connected with its own circuit breaker, residual current device and surge protection; spare space is left for circuits added later.

During finishing, switches, sockets, luminaires, spotlights and sensors are fitted. You can choose the products together with us in our store or on our website and leave the fitting to us.

We plan the lighting of the living room, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms during the conduit phase: cove lighting (light strips) and linear lighting, spotlights and magnetic track systems, wardrobe, staircase and corridor lighting. Because supply points and driver locations are prepared from the start, nothing goes wrong at the end. We are an authorised Lamptime dealer for lighting.

We run internet (data) cable to every room and the points that need it, and satellite cable to the TV points, and bring them all together at one distribution point. The locations of the Wi-Fi access points that cover the whole house are also decided at this stage.

We prepare the satellite installation as part of the infrastructure when we build the house from the ground up; we do not take on standalone satellite jobs.

We install IP intercom (the new generation of video door entry) for the garden gate and the entrance: you can see and talk to the visitor at the door from the indoor unit or your phone and open the door. We use Akuvox systems; they work on their own as a villa kit or together with the smart home system.

Circuits for paths, the entrance, trees and the facade are laid in the ground properly before the landscaping, and luminaires are chosen with a protection rating suitable for outdoor use. Garden posts, recessed luminaires and wall lights are on our website, including our own ENGN Lento garden light.

We prepare the charging line to the garage or parking space during construction; even if you do not have an electric car today, leaving the line in place from the start saves breaking things open later. If you wish we also install the charger; we are an authorised Bemis dealer for EV chargers.

If you want to control lighting, blinds, climate and security from one panel or your phone, we install the smart home system together with the villa's electrical work. The KNX infrastructure is prepared during conduit and wiring. If you do not want a smart home, all the work on the house is still done completely; if you wish we can prepare for the future by leaving only conduit and boxes.

• Design: You share your electrical design (prepared by your engineer). We do not draw designs; our job is to carry them out completely on site.
• Meeting and survey: You visit our store with your design or call us; we survey the site and prepare a written quote covering materials and labour.
• Schedule: The electrical work is split into phases following the construction schedule: foundations, shell, finishing and landscaping.
• Testing and handover: Measurements are taken, every circuit and system is tested and the house is handed over ready to move in.
