Linear Lighting
Where is linear lighting used?
Linear lighting uses long, slim LED luminaires with aluminium profile bodies to create a continuous line of light. It provides efficient and architectural lighting over office desks, in meeting rooms, corridors, shops and above kitchen islands; luminaires can be connected end to end to form long runs.
- Surface-mounted / suspended linear: mounted on the ceiling or suspended closer to the work surface.
- Recessed linear: set into plasterboard ceilings for a line of light flush with the ceiling.
- Linear wall and under-cabinet lights: for corridors, mirrors, stairs and under kitchen cabinets.
- Lens models: direct the light for higher illuminance on the work surface.
Lamptime luminaires are made to order with the colour temperature, housing colour and optic you choose and ship within 1–3 business days. For projects and bulk orders, write to us for help choosing luminaires and calculating quantities.
Yes. Luminaires from the same series are joined to form long, continuous lines of light. For custom long runs, send us your project dimensions.
Both suit offices. LED panels fit into suspended ceiling tiles and light large areas evenly; linear luminaires follow the desk layout and give a more modern, architectural look.
2700K–3000K warm white is recommended for homes, hotels and restaurants; 4000K neutral white for offices, shops, kitchens and bathrooms; 5000K and above cool white for warehouses, workshops and technical areas. Using the same colour temperature throughout a room gives a consistent look.
