Emergency & Sensor Lighting
Emergency and sensor lighting
Emergency luminaires stay lit on battery during a power cut, showing escape routes and exits and providing the emergency lighting required by fire regulations. Sensor luminaires and motion sensors save energy in stairwells, corridors, car parks and toilets by switching the light on only when needed.
- Emergency exit sign: shows the escape direction; surface, recessed and suspended mounting.
- Sensor luminaire: switches on with movement and off after a set time (IR or RF sensor).
- Motion sensor: controls existing luminaires automatically.
Lamptime luminaires are made to order with the colour temperature, housing colour and optic you choose and ship within 1–3 business days. For projects and bulk orders, write to us for help choosing luminaires and calculating quantities.
An IR (infrared) sensor detects changes in body heat and works within its field of view. An RF (microwave) sensor also detects movement behind the diffuser and thin partitions and is more sensitive.
Along the escape route, above exit doors and at changes of direction. The layout follows the building's fire safety plan.
