LED Floodlights
What wattage should an LED floodlight have?
LED floodlights light large outdoor areas and façades. 20–50 W is usually enough for garden, façade and sign accents; 100 W and above is preferred for car parks, storage yards, sports grounds and large open areas. The higher the mounting position, the more power and the narrower the beam needed.
IP66–IP67 aluminium housings withstand rain, dust and temperature changes; the tempered glass front protects against impact. Angle the floodlight downwards so the light does not disturb neighbouring areas or the road.
Lamptime luminaires are made to order with the colour temperature, housing colour and optic you choose and ship within 1–3 business days. For projects and bulk orders, write to us for help choosing luminaires and calculating quantities.
100–200 W floodlights on 6–8 metre poles are common; the number depends on the size of the area. Send us your dimensions and we will prepare a layout.
Yes. IP66 and IP67 give full protection against rain and dust. We recommend making the cable connection with a waterproof junction box.
