The Bemis Type 2 to Type 2 EV charging cable is used to charge your car at AC charging stations without a fixed cable (socketed). Most public AC chargers at shopping centres, hotels and car parks, and socketed wallboxes, need this type of cable. It's one of the most basic items to keep in the boot.
The cable comes in four power versions: 22 kW (three-phase 32 A, 5 × 6 mm²), 11 kW (three-phase 16 A, 5 × 2.5 mm²), 7.4 kW (single-phase 32 A, 3 × 6 mm²) and 3.7 kW (single-phase 16 A, 3 × 2.5 mm²). All versions also have a 0.75 mm² signal conductor and a flexible TTR construction. The cables comply with IEC 61851-1 Mode 3 charging and IEC 62196-2 Type 2 connector standards.
Your car's AC charging power decides which power to choose: the cable won't deliver more than the car and charger allow, but a lower-rated cable limits charging. If unsure, a 22 kW cable gives full speed on every car and AC charger and will suit future cars too. If your car only charges on a single phase, the 7.4 kW single-phase cable is lighter and cheaper.
Choose the length to suit where you'll use it: 3–5 m is usually enough in your own garage; at public chargers the distance between parking space and socket varies, so 5–7 m is the most flexible. 10 and 15 m cables are for distant parking spaces and special installations. Cables of 10 m and longer don't fit the carry bag; other lengths ship with the bag. For corporate orders in custom lengths and colours (black, white, red, blue), contact us.
ENGN is an authorised Bemis dealer; the cable has a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.

Frequently asked questions
At AC chargers that only have a socket and no fixed cable, you need to plug in your own Type 2 cable. Most public AC chargers and socketed wallboxes work this way.
Choose a cable rated at or above your car's AC charging power. Most cars accept 11 kW AC; an 11 or 22 kW three-phase cable gives these cars full speed. A 22 kW cable works with every car and is the most flexible choice.
Yes. Togg's AC charging port is Type 2; with this cable you can charge your Togg at public AC chargers and socketed wallboxes. The same cable is used for Tesla, BYD, MG and other Type 2 cars.
Yes. A three-phase cable is safe to use on single-phase chargers; charging power is then limited to what the charger and car allow. A single-phase cable only charges on one phase at a three-phase charger.
3–5 m for your own garage and 5–7 m for public chargers covers most situations. Longer cables are heavier and take more space in the boot; we don't recommend choosing a much longer cable than you need.
No. At DC fast chargers the cable is attached to the station and uses a CCS2 connector. This cable is for AC charging only.
