The Lamptime PB12 is a backlit LED panel for ceiling mounting. With the LEDs behind the panel, light is spread evenly over the whole surface without darker edges. It is used for general lighting in offices, schools, hospitals, shops and meeting rooms.
The 60x60, 30x30, 30x60 and 30x120 sizes fit standard ceiling tiles. PS and PMMA diffusers are available; PMMA offers higher light transmission and long-term colour stability. The slim body takes up little space in the ceiling.
The housing is powder-coated sheet steel. The light source is an SMD LED rated for at least 100,000 hours, with a colour rendering index (CRI) above 80 for natural-looking colours. The glare rating is UGR 21. The constant-current driver is protected against overload, overvoltage, short circuit and overheating; the luminaire runs on 220–240 V AC with a power factor of PF>0.60 (P≤25W) / PF>0.95 (P≥25W). Protection rating IP40, electrical safety Class II; operating temperature -20 °C to +50 °C.
Choose a colour temperature between 2700K–6500K: warm white (2700–3000K) gives a cosy light in homes, hotels and restaurants; neutral white (4000K) suits workspaces such as offices, shops and kitchens; cool white (5000–6500K) is preferred for technical areas and warehouses. The housing is available in white and black. Optics: PS Diffuser and PMMA Diffuser; narrow beams are for accents and displays, wide beams for general lighting. With the DALI option, the luminaire connects to building automation and can be dimmed. On request it is supplied with a European-made (EU) driver instead of the standard driver. With an emergency kit, the luminaire keeps working on its battery during a power cut – suitable for escape routes and common areas.
The product is made to order by Lamptime in Türkiye and ships within 1–3 business days; it comes with a 2-year warranty. For projects, bulk orders or help choosing luminaires, write to us and we will find the right product together.

Frequently asked questions
For offices and schools, 36–42 W is a common choice for a 60x60 panel. The PB12 is available in 20–42 W; choose a lower or higher wattage depending on ceiling height and the required light level.
In a backlit panel the LEDs sit behind the panel and light passes straight through the diffuser – the light is even and efficiency is high. In an edge-lit panel the LEDs are at the edges and the light is spread by a light guide plate; it is thinner, but yellowing and light loss can occur over time.
A recessed panel simply replaces a ceiling tile in a mineral fibre grid ceiling; no extra bracket is needed. In plasterboard ceilings, a cut-out is made and the panel is fixed with spring brackets.
2700K or 3000K warm white is recommended for living areas, bedrooms, hotels and restaurants; 4000K neutral white for offices, shops, kitchens and bathrooms; 5000K and above cool white for warehouses, workshops and technical areas. Using the same colour temperature for all luminaires in a room gives a consistent look.
DALI is a protocol for digital lighting control. A luminaire with a DALI driver can be dimmed and connected to an automation system with scenes and time programmes. A standard (ON/OFF) luminaire is simply switched on and off.
A battery and charging circuit added to the luminaire. When the mains fails, the luminaire keeps working on battery, providing the emergency lighting required by regulations on escape routes, stairs and in common areas.
Both are protected constant-current drivers compatible with the luminaire. The EU option uses a European-made driver – preferred for projects whose specifications require one.
Lamptime luminaires are made to order with the colour temperature, housing colour and optic you choose and ship within 1–3 business days. For bulk orders we confirm the lead time before you order.
