What wattage should a street light have?

40–80 W is common for estate roads and 4–6 metre poles, 100–150 W for main roads and 8–10 metre poles. The calculation should take road width and pole spacing into account.

Can the OS10 be used in the rain?

Yes. The IP66 rating protects against dust and water; the luminaire operates at -40 °C to +60 °C. We recommend making the electrical connection with a waterproof junction box and suitable cable.

Which colour temperature should I choose?

2700K or 3000K warm white is recommended for living areas, bedrooms, hotels and restaurants; 4000K neutral white for offices, shops, kitchens and bathrooms; 5000K and above cool white for warehouses, workshops and technical areas. Using the same colour temperature for all luminaires in a room gives a consistent look.

What is the DALI option for?

DALI is a protocol for digital lighting control. A luminaire with a DALI driver can be dimmed and connected to an automation system with scenes and time programmes. A standard (ON/OFF) luminaire is simply switched on and off.

What is the difference between the EU driver and the standard driver?

Both are protected constant-current drivers compatible with the luminaire. The EU option uses a European-made driver – preferred for projects whose specifications require one.

The Lamptime OS10 is an LED street light for roads, streets, estate roads, factory yards and open car parks. Its asymmetric road optic directs the light onto the road and reduces light spill into the surroundings and the sky.

The IP66 aluminium housing withstands outdoor conditions; it is mounted on a pole top or bracket arm. With 60–200 W versions, it is chosen according to road width and pole height.

The housing is powder-coated die-cast aluminium. The light source is an SMD LED rated for at least 100,000 hours, with a colour rendering index (CRI) above 80 for natural-looking colours. The glare rating is UGR 21. The constant-current driver is protected against overload, overvoltage, short circuit and overheating; the luminaire runs on 220–240 V AC with a power factor of PF>0.95. Protection rating IP66, electrical safety Class I; operating temperature -40 °C to +60 °C.

Choose a colour temperature between 2700K–6500K: warm white (2700–3000K) gives a cosy light in homes, hotels and restaurants; neutral white (4000K) suits workspaces such as offices, shops and kitchens; cool white (5000–6500K) is preferred for technical areas and warehouses. With the DALI option, the luminaire connects to building automation and can be dimmed. On request it is supplied with a European-made (EU) driver instead of the standard driver.
